Minutes of Meeting – June 7, 2012

 

Meeting held at Bronx Park Community Centre with 18 members in attendance.

 MOTION by Ken K., seconded by Ray M.. to accept the minutes of the minutes of the meeting of May 3, 2012.

Treasurer’s Report

 

• Jean Marc reported the current bank balance maintained at $XXXX.

 

MAAC Report

 

• $39,404.80 bank balance.
• Wally Fehr is contact for Transcona Inn.
• Working on constitution.
• What are clubs asking from MAAC?
• Need solutions for July 13 Collector Car.
• Collector plate is on going.

 

What Do We Want from MAAC?

 

• Discussed rules concerning pre 1994 write-offs.
• What is money used for?

 

Old Business

 ·         We are the feature club at Pony Corral on June 10, 2012, and we need as many cars as possible, even non-members.  Starts at 4:00.

·         The barbeque is scheduled for Saturday, June 16, 2012, at the home of Jean Marc after 4:00 p.m., with directions to be provided during the week of June 11, 2012.

·         Bill will order the steaks for the barbeque, and additional guests will be charged $5.00 per person.

·         Janice mentioned the social on July 7, 2012, at Selkirk Legion, in honour of her son’s fiancé, with tickets available at $12.50 each.

 MOTION by Bob F., seconded by Ken K. that 567 Club contribute up to $50.00 towards a silent auction prize for the social.

 CARRIED

 ·         Bob. F. volunteered to make the arrangements for the gift.

·         Ken A. mentioned the commitment to assist Bronx Park Community Club with some volunteer time, and Bob F. indicated nothing set, but a Bronx Board meeting is being held on June 11, 2012 (see addendum to Minutes).

 

Upcoming Show Events

 ·         567 Club is the host club for Pony Corral on June 10, 2012.

·         South Beach Casino Annual Spring Car Show.

·         11^th Annual Under the Boardwalk Show N’ Shine at Town of Winnipeg Beach.

·         Crusin the Island at Portage la Prairie.

·         Ken A. introduced the information for the run in Thief River Falls on August 4, 2012.

 

New Business

• Darryl J. had a knee operation, and 567 members wished him well.  Ken A. mentioned that he would contact Darryl and extend the well wishes on behalf of 567 Club.
• Marcel J. mentioned that we should share experiences on purchases through different websites, and a brief discussions was held in that regard.

 

Next meeting to be held on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at Bronx Park Community Club on 720 Henderson Highway.
